Louisville Attic Ladder Gas Cylinder Kit PK1062
New replacemement PK1062 gas cylinder strut piston arm for Louisville Energy Efficient Attic Ladders.
PK1062 is for the heavier Louisville or Century attic ladders either made out of wood or have insulated doors.
Can be purchased as a single or pair.
PK1062 is compressed and strapped to the exact length needed for installation which is when the attic ladder is in the closed position. Existing gas cylinders may appear shorter when the attic ladder is open in the down position. Do not remove the round bolt head that is attached to the attic ladder. This is needed to install the new gas cylinders.
Installation is done from inside the attic when the ladder is in the closed position, not when the ladder is down in the open position. Please see the installation instructions below.
Do NOT cut the straps prior to installation. Straps are needed to keep the gas strut compressed for proper installation. We do not accept returns for extended gas struts that are not installed properly. Please see the installation instructions below.

LOUISVILLE ATTIC LADDER GAS CYLINDER PK1062
The LOUISVILLE ATTIC LADDER GAS CYLINDER PK1062 that I got from Ladder Products came assembled wrong from the manufacturer when I opened the package (not Ladder Product's fault, as nobody could have known until it was opened and ready to install). When I contacted Ladder Products, Melvin shipped another gas cylinder to me, as well as a return label, and I was able to just put the first part in the box the new part came in, attach the return label to the box and dropped it off at UPS. Easy and so grateful they made it right! The new part was perfect and only took 2 minutes to install. Ladder Products is the place to get what you need for ladders and I will be telling everybody I know that they have FANTASTIC customer service!!!
