Louisville Aluminum Attic Ladder Gas Cylinder PK1287 (SINGLE)
New Replacement gas cylinder strut piston for Lousville Aluminum Attic Ladders.
Available as a Single unit.
PR1278 is compressed and strapped to the exact length needed for installation which is when the attic ladder is in the closed position (But sometime this can vary from handling. Existing gas cylinders may appear shorter when the attic ladder is open in the down position. Do NOT remove the round bolt head that is attached to the attic ladder. This is needed to install the new gas cylinders.
Installation is done from inside the attic when the ladder is in the closed position, not when the ladder is down in the open position. Please see the installation instructions below.
Do NOT cut the straps prior to installation. Straps are needed to keep the gas strut compressed for proper installation. We do not accept returns for extended gas struts that are not installed properly. Please see the installation instructions below.
